Privacy policy

This policy explains how Mobax Studios handles information when you use Hollow Creek.

1. Information stored by the app

Hollow Creek stores the levels you have completed, the stars you have earned, your restoration and story progress, your lives and when they next refill, any boosters you hold, which tutorial tips you have seen, which in-app purchases have been delivered to the app, and your music, sound and haptics settings. This information is stored locally on your device.

2. Information Mobax Studios collects

Hollow Creek does not operate user accounts, advertising, behavioural analytics, crash-reporting services or a Mobax Studios server that receives your game data. The app does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone, and it does not need an internet connection to play.

3. Purchases and advertising

Hollow Creek offers optional in-app purchases: booster packs, life refills and a one-time Supporter Pack. Purchases are made through Apple's App Store and processed by Apple under Apple's own terms and privacy policy; Mobax Studios does not receive your payment details, your name or your Apple Account. The app keeps a record on your device of which purchases it has delivered, so that each purchase is credited once and the Supporter Pack can be restored. Every level can be completed without buying anything.

Hollow Creek shows no advertising. If advertising is ever added, this policy will be updated before that version is released, explaining what information is involved and who processes it.

4. Support communications

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message and attachments. We use it to respond, investigate the issue and maintain an appropriate support record. Please do not send passwords or payment details.

5. Data sharing

Mobax Studios does not sell your personal information. We may disclose information received through support where required by law, or where reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, security or users.

6. Retention and deletion

Information stored by Hollow Creek remains on your device until you remove the app, subject to the behaviour of your device backups. Removing the app deletes its progress and settings. Support emails are retained only for as long as reasonably needed to handle the request, keep appropriate business records and meet legal obligations. You may ask us to delete support correspondence where applicable.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information handled by Mobax Studios. No device, storage method or email service can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect access to your device using its available security features.

8. Children

Hollow Creek is a general-audience puzzle game with mild spooky themes and no chat, user-generated content, accounts or advertising. Its optional in-app purchases are made through Apple's App Store, where parental controls such as Ask to Buy and Screen Time apply. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

9. International services

Platform providers and email services may process information outside the United Kingdom under their own terms and safeguards.

10. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information Mobax Studios holds about you, including access, correction, deletion or objection. Because Hollow Creek's game data is stored locally, Mobax Studios cannot access or retrieve it for you.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Hollow Creek's features or legal requirements change. The latest version will appear on this page with a revised effective date.
